Front Pusher
Today I designed a front pusher for my robot. It is low to the ground at the very front and starts to get higher and higher the further up you get. When my robot charges it will get underneath the other robots wheels and will help me have an advantage over everyone else.
The Rebuild
Today started to rebuild my robot. The first thing that I started with was the base. I made the base so that the wheels are behind each other and this will help it have more power so it can push away the opponent easily. I am also going to mount the nxt towards the back for even weight distribution. Here are some pictures of it.

starting again
last friday I decided to rebuild my whole robot from scratch. I done this because my robot couldnt turn very well and my design was too "bulky" for my liking. Another feature that I will enhance is in my new robot will be to put the light sensor alot lower to the ground so it can pick up the colour change easier. this will help my robot stop alot faster and get back into the center of the ring.

Programming
Well today I am testing to see if my robot can use its ultrasonic sensor to detect if their is another opponent in the arena. yesterday I programmed it to stay in the ring without leaving the arena which means its well on the way to being the ultamate sumo robot!!!!!!

Ultimate sumo robot
Hey im Brad or B-rad to all my mates. I am currently working on a robot that will compete in a competition with other robots. This is a project that I am doing for Yr 13 computing at mbas. I hope by the end of the unit i will have the ultimate robot. I will be recording my progress on blogger.com!!!!
